4th CRCEES Postgraduate Research Methodology Summer School
‘Economic and Social Transformation in Central and Eastern Europe’

Centre for Russian, Central and East European Studies (CRCEES), UK
The 2010 CRCEES Summer School is open to research and taught postgraduate students from UK and overseas CRCEES partners whose research interests fall within the remit of the summer school programme. CRCEES will pay the full costs of registration, bed and breakfast accommodation and excursions for students from its partner institutions, and will also provide funding towards their travel costs. Participants will be expected to pay for their own meals (lunch and dinner), unless otherwise indicated in the programme.
 
Postgraduate students from other UK and European (particularly Central and East European) universities are also welcome to apply to attend the Summer School, but will not be eligible for CRCEES financial support and should seek alternative sources of funding.
 
Key themes of the Summer School will include:
·         The economics of post-communism
·         Hungarian political economy
·         Two Decades post-communist social transformation Revisited
·         Regionalism in central Europe
·         The impact of the European Union on Central Europe
 
Optional Hungarian-language tuition will also be available to participants as part of the programme.

Please note that the language of instruction will be English.
